Our Story

Fashion Garage began in a small garage in downtown Wichita Falls, Texas.

Though Janet and Connie had known of each other, their paths didn't truly cross until about ten years ago.

Connie asked Janet to help produce a vintage fashion show for an antique event in Wichita Falls.

It was the first time they worked side by side.

And something clicked.

They quickly realized their differences were their strengths.

Connie keeps her feet on the ground.

Janet has her head in the clouds.

Together, they make it work.

The Realist and The Dreamer

Before Fashion Garage, they were both selling in antique malls. Their booths were growing, and they were having fun, but something was missing.

They would place beautiful pieces in their booths, and then leave.

They didn’t know who their customers were, what they were searching for, or what story a piece might become part of.

The connection wasn’t there.

When that garage space came along, they made a decision:

They would bet on themselves.

That garage became Fashion Garage.

What started as a small collection of vintage pieces grew into something more, a place for self-expression, creativity, and joy.

And more importantly, connection.

The relationships built inside those walls have become the heart of Fashion Garage, and its greatest honor.

At its core, Fashion Garage was built with intention.

When Janet first fell in love with vintage, the experience wasn’t always welcoming. The shops were beautiful, but they didn’t feel approachable.

That experience helped shape something different.

Fashion Garage was created to be a place where everyone feels comfortable, curious, and completely themselves.

A place where:

  • questions are welcomed
  • style is personal
  • and there are no rules except to wear what you love

Because here’s what we believe:

Everyone belongs at Fashion Garage.

(Except the meanies.)

What began in that small garage has grown into a curated vintage boutique filled with timeless pieces, unexpected treasures, and stories waiting to be worn again.

Today, we are  part of a growing vintage and small business community in downtown Wichita Falls, and becoming a vintage destination in North Texas.

As we continue to grow, so does our vision.

A new space is on the horizon, allowing us to expand, create, and share even more of what we love.

But no matter how much changes, what matters most never will:

connection, creativity, and the people who walk through our doors.

Whether you’re searching for a single perfect piece, building a wardrobe, or simply stopping in to see what you might find…there’s always something waiting for you here.

However people find their way here, we’re always glad they do.
