At Fashion Garage, every piece in the shop has a story.

Nothing arrives here by accident. We travel, hunt, search, and carefully curate vintage fashion from decades past — selecting pieces that feel special, expressive, and timeless.

Sometimes those pieces come from private buying appointments, estate collections, and vintage dealers. Other times they come from people in our own community who have beautiful vintage ready for its next chapter.

What Typically Isn’t a Fit

To keep our collection focused on true vintage, we usually do not purchase:

• Fast fashion brands

• Modern mall brands

• Recently manufactured clothing

• Items with heavy damage beyond repair

• Very common items we currently have an abundance of

 

How the Process Works

Selling vintage to Fashion Garage is simple.

  1. Contact us to schedule an appointment.
  2. Bring your items to the shop (clean and ready to review).
  3. We will go through the pieces together.
  4. If the items are a good fit for Fashion Garage, we purchase them outright.

 

We do not operate on consignment — we purchase items directly.

Larger collections welcome.

Over the years we have purchased everything from single special pieces to entire wardrobes.

We are always happy to review:

• Estate collections

• Vintage closets

• Dealer inventory

• Large private collections

For larger collections, travel may be possible depending on location and quantity.

 

Where Our Vintage Comes From

People often ask where all of the vintage in Fashion Garage comes from.

The truth is, there isn’t just one place.

Some pieces come from private buying appointments where we meet people who have carefully kept beautiful vintage clothing for decades. Some come from estate collections, where incredible garments have been tucked away in closets waiting to be rediscovered. Others come from road trips, vintage dealers, and unexpected treasure hunts.

Every piece in the shop has been personally chosen by us.

We don’t buy from warehouses or distributors. We search, select, and curate each item with intention so that when you walk into Fashion Garage, you’re surrounded by vintage that feels special.

It’s a process that takes time, patience, and a love for the stories that clothing carries — and it’s one of our favorite parts of what we do.
